On Tuesday, Alia Bhatt earned the National Award for “Best Actress” for her portrayal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Gangubai Kathiawadi.”
President Droupadi Murmu presented the honour to the 30-year-old actor at a ceremony in Delhi on Tuesday. Ranbir Kapoor, Bhatt’s husband and actor, was also in attendance. Along with Bhatt, Pratisheel Singh received a National Award in the make-up category for the same film.
“Gangubai Kathiawadi,” which was released on February 25, 2022, starred Bhatt in the titular character and showed the life of a Kathiawad girl. Shantanu Maheshwari, Jim Sarbh, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Pahwa also appeared in the film.

Alia completed her appearance with a similar blouse that featured a plunging neckline, hand embroidery, half-length sleeves, and a cropped silhouette that added an elegant touch to her stunning saree.

“Mimi” also starred Pankaj Tripathi, who received the National Award for “Best Supporting Actor” for his portrayal. Pallavi Joshi received the award for “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in “The Kashmir Files.”
Allu Arjun got the National Award for “Best Actor” for his role in Sukumar’s film “Pushpa-The Rise.”
